School’s Out, June 2025
Acrylic on canvas
School's Out is a look into the state young adults find themselves in too often. How technology and online spaces have become the way we live. The importance of Diet Coke, “talking” to boys, and watching Love Island, all while enclosed by four walls and a vanity of skincare beside you. The downtime generations before us once knew has now become obsolete, as it takes too much effort to read a book when you could be blasting your dopamine receptors with “content” just to feel something, but what is it? By the way, I’m still socializing– I just sent my friend 10 videos for her to react to with a little heart.

This series explores the realities of myself and people around me through my perspective. The text in each piece adds slight context without explaination, leaving interpretation up to the viewer. Each piece delves into a different experience that humans face on our time here on Earth. I captured these moments as they were happening over the course of three months.
